LOST Theories - DarkUFO

Here are some ideas I've been tossing around in my head today.

I was looking into the statue of Tawaret (the 4 toed statue) and found a video that pointed out there are actually 2 statues (may have been more at one time). The one that Richard's boat knocks over is not the same one that Jacob lives in - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6USHnfPw5X0 - Richard's boat knocks over the statue with the legs separated. It is possible this was all a mistake by the directors, but it seems like they don't let things like this slide.

We know that the Statue and hieroglyphics stuff were around before Jacob and Samuel (MIB) because when Sawyer/Miles/Hurley/Jin/Juliet time travel back before the well was dug we see the statue (with spread legs) standing tall - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzrXGAwXV0M. At the same time we know that it was Samuel (MIB) who was part of the team that dug up the well.

Jacob's fake mother speaks Latin which was originally spoken in Ancient Rome - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latin

Hieroglyphics were used a lot during the Graeco-Roman period - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egyptians#Graeco-Roman_period

This could all point to Rome being the initial location of the people who came to the island and began using hieroglyphics and speaking Latin.

On wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greco-Roman_world - it says that most educated Romans were likely bilingual in Greek and Latin. I thought the "educated" part referenced the "Language of the enlightened" - http://www.lost.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6046&page=5

So what if Jacob's fake mother was part of (or extended from) the group of people that created all of the hieroglyphics and statues. Maybe the leader then believed that the statues would help "protect" the Island - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tawaret - Maybe even Jacob's fake mother was the leader through all of this and believed the statue represented her which is why she had it built. Jacob could have known this which is why he chose to live in it while he was in charge...kind of like it was a memory of his mother.

That's all I have so far...what do you think?
