This theory may be a little out there but here it goes. This comes from the episode "Stranger in a Strange Land" from season three. If you recall this episode, Juliet is in trouble for killing Danny to help Kate and Sawyer escape. There is a character named Isabel who the others call the sherrif. While watching this episode I saw three key things that lead me to believe that this woman is really Juliet in an older version of herself and she is not the only one who is old and on the island. This making sense as Juliet and Jack both go back to 1974 therefore Juliet could be that old in 2004 when the episode took place.
1st evidence: Isabel comments on Jacks tattoos. When she talks to Jack she looks at him the whole time exept when she says her name. She looks down to the ground. Why? I believe she is lying and cannot look at Jack straight to his face and call herself Isabel.
2nd evidence: Jack is in the cages and wakes up and a group of others are outside the cages staring at him. If you notice, some of these others look as if they had just seen a ghost, like they had seen Jack before. When Jack rips Cindy and tells her to leave, you see the little boy almost look disappointed in Jack. Why? Because the Jack he knows is nothing like the Jack he sees in the cage. Therefore, Jack is also alive as an older version somewhere on the main island.
3rd evidence: Isabel and Juliet are so similar in their looks, it makes me wonder how we never noticed this when we first saw the episode. Juliet and Isabel have the same style of hair. She acts similar to Juliet. And this is the key point I saw in this episode, how does Isabel know that Jack is lying when Jack says he made up the fact that Juliet never told him to kill Ben while opperating? She knows because she is really Juliet.
Just another random thought to think about is that Jack, Kate and Sawyer were not on Jacob's list. This would lead to the reason that they are already part of the others as older versions of themselves so there is no reason to have them on the list. All of them went back to 1977 and are still on the island. This maybe the reason that John Locke told Ben is not worried about his friends. John knows that they are alive.
Maybe I am way off on this one but it sure makes me wonder if this is true. Only time will tell. Let me know what you think.
