LOST Theories - DarkUFO

LOST Ultimate Theory by Pi Squared

Hi guys, I’m new here, but I’m a huge fan of LOST from Bulgaria. I’ve been visiting darkufo for a long time, reading stuff, watching promos and so on, and I’ve came up with a theory about a lot of stuff. The following pages is what I think is going to happen in this final season of LOST. I'm sure most of the stuff are going to be proven wrong, but some of them might be right. (Who knows?) I have made my theories in groups, so - happy reading and please feel free to comment...

The Island:
Now, the island is special: it has a LOT of energy in it. A LOT OF! Because of that energy it can move in space, time, even Universes. That solves for polar bears (moving somewhere cold in space, then back on the Equator or somewhere), time-traveling and alternate Universes (which we'll almost certainly see in S6). The stuff releasing this energy we've seen so far are the Frozen Donkey wheel, the fail safe key and “Jughead” (probably). Let’s imagine that the island is the main battlefield between good and evil something like chessboard and Jacob and MIB are the players. Now the game must have some origin, rules and aims. Let’s explore them…

A battle between the good and the evil:
MIB is the Monster (it's an assumption of course, since it’s not proven, but it fits too well, you'll see later). He can take the form of any dead person of which he has some knowledge through reading the minds of the people AND this particular dead person must be on the island (remember Yemi, Christian (?), Locke (which would be discussed later) and Alex…). Jacob is some kind of great healer, who can treat every illness and has the power to bring people to the island (maybe he learned to poses some part of the island's energy somehow). There are two teams: "The Good Guys" (TGG) and "The Bad Guys" (TBG) and each of them has a leader. The leaders of the two teams represent the Kings of the game. MIB tries to prove that it is in the human nature to fight, destroy and corrupt things. That's why he tries to protect the island. Jacob tries to prove him wrong. That is why he brings more and more people on the island. So the aim of the game for TGG is to defend and save themsel! ves as much as possible, while the aim of TGB is to destroy (kill) as many people as possible. But the people from the teams (the pawns) do not know what the aim of the game is, they just receive commands from the leaders and leaders receive commands from either Jacob or MIB. The game has the following rules:

The Rules:
There can be only one leader at a time. The leader of TGG can talk to Jacob and the leader of TBG can talk to MIB. ("The Incident" and assumption through extrapolation)
No one from a group can kill members from their respective team, unless a member of the other team attempts to penetrate into the first. ("Enter 77", "Stranger in Strange Land")
Leaders and their families can't be harmed or killed by a member of his or the opposing team ("The Shape of things to come")
Only the leader can judge that the rules don't apply in a given situation. ("Stranger in Strange Land")
Leaders can't kill each other (like Kings in chess can't capture each other) ("The shape of things to come")
If anyone kills the leader, he has to go to the other team player (either Jacob or MIB) to judge him. ("Dead is dead")

Game origins:
I believe the beginning of the game is just what we see in the beginning of “The Incident”. Probably MIB and Jacob had argument for a long, long time about whether people are good or bad, so they decided to play that game. When we see the Black rock (On which probably Richard is) the game begins. From then until our beloved Losties fell from the sky, hundreds of people have come and go off the island. Now Richard really becomes the advisor of the leader, but leaders change, because of natural human process of living and dying, but Richard is ageless, so he can be wise and so on with the next leader. Now, we don't know much about TBG's leader and advisor, but probably have these too. Probably TBG's leader is Charles Widmore and the advisor is Eloise Hawking. Now, I know that in “The Incident” Richard said that Hawking was their leader, but since Ben made Widmore (and probably) Hawking leave the island, maybe they moved to the bad side, the TBG’s team.

About the loophole:
I believe Jacob and MIB can't be seen (physically) by normal people. And in order to give orders to their respective groups they have some sort of “granted access” to the leaders - so they can see them, communicate with them and so on. But also Jacob and MIB become vulnerable by these leaders, because they are now humans to them and ergo - can be killed. They also can't kill each other (MIB and Jacob), because they possess the same amount of energy. But no one would expect for the leader to kill his own master. So the aim for MIB is to make the current leader act in such a way so he wants to kill Jacob. As of the beginning of LOST (2004) Ben is the leader. But he moves the island; he can't get back and makes Locke the leader. As Locke travels through time, he sees Richard who tells him that he has to die, but actually MIB told Richard to tell Locke that. So Locke believes that he has to die. And he is prepared to die. But actually he can't kill himself in the same way Mi! chael couldn't kill himself, because he had work to do (to make the O6 go back to the island. I believe Jacob "forbids" the suicide until the game is over. Maybe that is the reason why our Losties survived the plane crash, because they were pawns and touched by Jacob, so they couldn’t die). So Ben "accidentally" enters Locke's room, stops him from committing suicide, gets the information and kills him thus becoming the leader. Now with Ben being the leader and Locke being dead, MIB can take Locke's form and pretend to be resurrected, because everyone actually believed that he can be. And that is one more prove that Hawking works for MIB, because she made O6 get back to the island taking Locke with them, so MIB can take the form of him (remember the assumption that the Monster can take the form of the dead person only if he is on the island). When Ben goes to the Monster to be judged (as according to the Rules), he falls in a hole and MIB's Locke (Flocke) stays above, pret! ending to go to find a rope. Actually, he comes down to Ben as! the Mon ster, reads his mind, makes all those memories appear before him, then takes the form of Alex, who says that Ben must follow Locke (Flocke actually) with no question asked. As Ben believes Alex, because he loves her as her daughter, he follows her order and does whatever Flocke tells him. Now, remember - Ben is the leader, so according to the Rules he is the only one who can see, touch, interact and of course - kill Jacob. So Flocke tells him to kill Jacob and Ben obeys, because of Alex (actually Falex) and because he was so much ignored by Jacob. What is the reason for Jacob to ignore him so much - not sure. Maybe the reason is that Jacob hates lying (he is very good guy, remember?) and Ben lies a lot.
So that's how MIB found the loophole and killed Jacob.
A little more about Jacob:
As I have said, Jacob is some kind of healer. He can heal every illness or harm. He did not resurrect Locke, when he fall out of the building, because Locke was still not dead, but severely injured and would be probably dead. But by touching him, he healed the severe injuries (giving him energy from the island?) and leaved only the paralysis, which would eventually bring Locke on flight 815 and so on. By touching everyone ("The Incident") he kind of gave them the secret of the island whereabouts, so they can find it in order to continue the game.
And finally, about our beloved Losties:
Now what Darlton have said, there will be only one timeline in the season, no flashbacks or flashforwards. At the Comic Con this year as well as the filming reports up until now and the title LA X (with the X meaning unknown time probably) it is certain: there is going to be an alternate Universe in which: the bomb explodes, the Hatch is never build, 815 never crashes and lands in LA. BUT the bomb explodes... That is completely similar to Desmond turning the fail-safe key. Where it led him? In the past. He tried to correct stuff, to propose Penny, to live happily, even to save the red-shoe guy. But Hawking said, that the Universe has a way of course correcting. So we will see how our losties would have managed without crashing with 815, but they would again somehow get on the island - either by other plane (maybe Ajira 316?) or in other way. And now... they will be in the timeline with Sun, Richard and so on just where we left in the end of the last season - maybe there will! be some sort of purple sky or something and Jack and co will be on that timeline only remembering what would've been if they didn't crash, just like Desmond did. Now the people that died on the island - Charlie, Eko, Niki and Paulo etc. would again be dead at the time of arrival, again because of the course-correction. I believe only Locke will be actually alive because he wasn't supposed to die or something like that... He is too important to the plot to be killed that easily and stupidly by Ben... And how about Richard seeing them all die ("The Incident")? Well, the bomb exploded... so they did die in this Universe... But their souls actually have only jumped from Universe to Universe much like Eloise (the rat) has jumped in time. That's why Jacob said Hurley that he is not mad, but blessed... Hurley actually has the ability to see in different parallel Universes. Remember Charlie said that he is both here and dead? (“The beginning of the end”). And a word for Adam a! nd Eve (“House of the rising sun”). I think it is almost c! ertain t hat these are Rose and Bernard. We saw them in “The Incident”, they don't want to take part in this huge war thing, they want peace. They probably went to that cave knowing that the bomb would explode, holding hands, holding the black and white stone Jack found and waiting for their end... And they were clearly talking Jacob's language, just remember what Rose said in "The Incident":

ROSE: We traveled back 30 years in time, and you're still trying to find ways to shoot each other?
(Remember MIB's sayings about the people who fight, destroy and corrupt?)
ROSE: So we die. We just care about being together. That's all that matters in the end.
(And now remember Jacob's: "It only ends once". Pretty similar, huh?)

What ends once? Life?
What about if the game is the LIFE itself? To live in peace and harmony against in war and chaos?

Okay and one last thought:
And what will be the whole season 6 all about? Well, clearing these questions up somehow (this way, or another) and about the big war between good and bad, love and hate, white and black and so on. And the series finale? I don't believe the series would settle the question, any other series – yes, they would make good win, but this is LOST, guys... And remember, the first title for the show was "The Circle", so I believe the finale will be all about Jack and Locke sitting on a beach, watching a ship coming and Jack will be all "Do you know how badly I wanna kill you?"... Fush!

(and a final title…)
