LOST Theories - DarkUFO

How did the Black Rock find its home? by Koviak

Well, I can't say im in rewatch mode just yet. My girlfriend hates how I theorize and talk about Lost like I do...So I need a vent...

The Black Rock....
That being said I have watched every episode of Lost, and am familiar to say the least about the BLACK ROCK. At the moment, I have just watched 'The Brig' from season 3, and thought for a moment about 'will the black rock be answered in season 6?'

Imagine this --- After the initial scene in "The Incident" which featured Jacob and MIB...So we don't know what else happened that day as what we all assume to be the Black Rock. Imagine a fight errupts, MIB knocks out Jacob, and takes form as the smoke monster...

The smoke monster indeed as brute strength...capable to pull up trees and toss objects around like feathers...MIB transforms into the Monster, and across the sea he reaches out for the ship and slams it far into the jungle. Therefore, playing the same game the 815'ers are playing. Does it always end the same way?

Those aboard the ship, The Black Rock, are now thrown into what has become a chess game between Jacob and MIB...Those making right choices, to better themselves, live on through Jacob. Those making poor irrational descions fall, and become the play things of MIB/Smoke Monster. It's a constant on the show, choices we have made, and will make, will lead to an ultimate judgement. Those who pass, better Jacob, those who don't better MIB and give him more ground. So you'd think Jacob for so long has been WAY outnumbered because of human instinct.

So was the Black Rock the first, or one of many, (basically) 815 flights...

I would say myself and in my opinion, its a pattern of selection, and the gaining in some sort of way "points". Jacob gained Richard who could have been the Black Rock's Locke. And in closing, The Black Rock was one of the many test subjects to the world of the island, first, or maybe 20th...or who knows...The Black Rock could very well be the first attempt by the MIB to kill Jacob...

Jacob, however, knowing that that the MIB wants to kill him and find a loop hole, retaliates by granting people a chance for redemption, in hopes to beat the evil inside them, and those around. The Black Rock could very well be the first instence of the fight between Jacob and MIB.

ps. My theories never go over well here...Don't be too mean. Love Lost and Love this site!
