Since the rules don't apply to Desmond something has to happen with him right? We have already seen Faraday change the future with Desmond whats to say it cant happen again? I don't know how, I haven't thought about it that much honestly, but somehow the characters will get to Desmond while he is on the island and explain everything to him. Desmond will be forced back to the island (in the present...right after Flocke killed Jacob) to save his friends because of the new "memory" that just popped into his brain. There is no way that his story is over and Eloise even told him the island wasn't done with him yet. Desmond is to important (and to well liked by the fans!) not to play a role in how this whole confusing mess, which has every single one of us posting theories, ends with a bang!!!
