Yeah I'm just waiting to hear that Ray is going to be appearing in Season 6 again. I think the Shepherds do have history on the island, whether it be Christian, Ray, or someone else like Jacob (if he is Aaron).

I also liked the idea of 815 was re-creating the events of the Black Rock. Someone had a theory a while ago that the opening scene of season 6 will be the Black Rock crashing on the island, and Richard's eye opening in the jungle, then proceeding to save everyone (like Jack and the plane). I hope they do the Black Rock thing the same way they did "The other 48 days" with the tail section of the plane.

I agree that the Shepherd family has a big role to play in Lost, including Grandpa Ray. I'm just not sure we will see him on the Black Rock. Maybe he's just an other that left the island like Elle for some unknown reason and his offspring have been being nudged back to the Island. I like the magnetism idea too.

I agree with your theory, that the Shepherd family history is entwined with that of the island. Some things I expect/hope to discover next season are:

- Christian has been on the island before.
- Ray wants to escape the retirement home and return to the island.
- Aaron will return to the island, just like Miles, Charlotte and Daniel did.
- Richard is from the Black Rock. (If this turns out to be false, then why have the whole Richard building a ship in a bottle scene??? and please don't say it was a red herring, hahaha!

I also like the thought that someone was trying to recreate the events of the Black Rock with flight 815, but I don't really believe it's true. Why wait 150 years to try and return to the island? I think that flight 316 had to recreate flight 815 because they weren't SUPPOSED to leave and were now having to force it to happen again.

Not for nothing, but Jack's grandfather would be way too young to have been on the Blackrock. So far the only ageless people that we know of are Richard and Jacob. MIB may be nothing more than a spirit looking for a body as opposed to an ageless being. I like the idea behind the theory, but not the Blackrock bringing Jack's family to the island starting with Ray.

here i thought desmond's foil was what brought the plane to the island. that and the fact that the pilots were a few hundred or thousand miles off course. but if you say it's some magical magnetism then that's cool too. it's probably just a coincidence that the very time Widmore finally finds the island, after searching for twenty years, is after the looking glass is destroyed therefore rendering the very mechanism which scatters scanning signals to find the island off into different directions essentially keeping hte island "hidden". it's probably the magnetic dna, you're right.

I'm sorry if you were kinda insulted by my comments I didn't mean that I really just wanted to know the thought process behind this phenomenon of (Blank) came on the BlackRock, thats all, in fact I actually think it would be kinda cool if we see Faraday beboppin' out of the BlackRock with his Journal, and introducing himself as the firstmate, considering that the BlackRock Journal mystery was spawned in the same episode as the Daniel Journal was; The Constant it would be fitting, and also Richard being on the BlackRock would also be fitting, in fact if he's not from the BlackRock it will be a huge WTF moment for me!

But as for any other character that we have met previously, I have my doubts, To me it just wouldn't fit for Christian, Ray or any other character, to be on the BlackRock, in fact it would bring more questions than answers.

If Richard walked off the BlackRock we would all think OK Mystery solved, now to find out how he came to be ageless, if Faraday walked off for a moment we'd be like WTF, then we'd immediately think he probably time-traveled, and it would be a nice bookend for the constant. Hell I just thought of one more person who would be a believable BlackRockie: Desmond, we know nothing of his life before the the monastery, except from his slight comments, but again too convoluted to work probably, but definitely interesting to see.

Ricky, the reason why theories are popping up about people coming on the Black Rock is probably because everyone feels like we are going to get the story of the Black Rock this season as foreshadowed in the opening scene of The Incident. It's similar to the Jacob theories that you pointed out popping up during season 4 when we start hearing a lot about him. My theory had more to do with the Shephards' history with the island. I've been thinking since season five that Richard came to the island on The Black Rock. I came up with the theory that Christian and his father came because I really don't think that RIchard will be the only character from the Black Rock. I think that when they tell that story we will see at two or three characters that we already know coming to the island via the big ship.

I'm just trying to figure out why the new trend in (insert random character name here) came on the blackrock, theories are popping up now. They're like the new; (insert random character name here) is really Jacob theories.

I think that if any character came to the island on the blackrock it's safe to say it is Richard, and maybe someone in the Temple but I think just Richard, but I also reserve the other option of none of the characters came to the island on the blackrock.

Interesting theory. I like the bit about Widmore specifically hiring Miles and Charlotte for the mission because he knew they could 'return' to the Island due to their being born there. It could also tie into the modern-day Island being uninhabitable to pregnant women --- perhaps as a manifestation of the Island's defense mechanisms and desire to stay hidden, it isn't allowing any more of these baby/homing devices to be born on its shores.
