Okay, this is my first theory ever so be gentle... Oh also I apologize if someone has already posted this theory.
Everyone is freaking out about Kate not being a candidate for filling Jacob's position as protector of the island, despite being touched by him.However, the candidates that we know for sure are, Jack, Locke, Sayid, Hurley, and Sawyer, and all of these candidates are men.
As for the "Kwon" on the wall even Flocke admitted that he didn't know if it was Sun or Jin (and isn't Sun's last name Paik anyway?) So perhaps only men can become the new Jacob, and the women have another role to fill.
I could be completely wrong but it makes sense for why Kate wasn't included.
Thoughts? Comments?
