LOST Theories - DarkUFO

Do You Like to Play Games? by Lost Baseball

Here is my theory for what it’s worth…

I believe there are two entities (could possibly be Jacob and the MIB). They are playing a game (one is light and the other is dark). There are rules to this game (which I am dying to find out). I believe our characters (Jack, Locke, Kate, Hurley, Sawyer, etc.) are pieces in the game. According to the MIB, the game “always ends the same.” This implies that the two entities have played multiple games and the “pieces” come, fight, destroy, and corrupt. However, according to Jacob, “it only ends once.”

I believe what we are seeing in season 6 between the two side-flashes (or two realities) are two different games being played out. We’re seeing one game unfold on the island and another game is progressing in Los Angeles. I’d imagine that there have been many numerous games played. We’re just getting a glimpse into two of them right now. This lends me to believe that Jacob is trying to come up with the perfect game. I kind of see this like the movie Groundhog Day. Actor Bill Murray wakes up to the same day, everyday and relives it over and over. He does different things during each day he relives, but every morning when he wakes up, it is always February 2nd, Groundhog Day (By the way, the night of the season 6 premier, LA X, was on 2-2-10). Eventually, Bill Murray learns how to love and make the woman in the movie love him. This is the loophole that ends the repeated cycle and February 3rd finally happens. I believe LOST is a game cycle and this game continues! to be played over and over and over again. Eventually, there will be a loophole that finally ends the game, because as Jacob said, “it only ends once. Anything before that is just progress.”
