In 1977, a hydrogen bomb was detonated by Juliet. The question arose: did this event changed the future preventing the losties from crashing in 2004 or was this event the incident all along.
I re-watched season 5 episode Namaste. During the scene where Lapidas was making the emergency landing, the co-pilot radioed a mayday. The response on the radio was "15 16".
It appears the numbers were still being broadcasted in 2007. The numbers broadcast was supposed to be replaced by Rousseau's broadcast in 1988. Rousseau's broadcast was removed in 2004.
Why were the numbers still broadcasting in 2007? Maybe the H-bomb detonation actually changed the future... a future where even Rousseau never arrived on the island.
