LOST Theories - DarkUFO

Ok So I'm not a Backgammon enthusiast at all, but I did do a search on the illustrious Internet and found out one basic thing about it that I found rather interesting, as it pertains to Lost, particularly Jacob and the MIB.

The main objective in the game of Backgammon is; to get all of your pieces off of the Game-board before your opponent can do so.

So how does this relate to LOST, particularly Jacob and MIB you may ask? Well MIB says, Jacob is "Still trying to prove him wrong", by bringing people to the island, Jacob says, "You are wrong!" MIB says, "It always ends the same!", Jacob says, "It only ends once, until then it just progress!"

Now let's break down that conversation, and look at it as if the two guys are opponents in some sort of cosmic variation of Backgammon. Jacob = White/Light, MIB = Black/Dark, Remember Locke's speech to Walt,"Two sides, one light, one dark,!" he also mentions that Backgammon in the oldest game in the history of the world. (might that be because it was invented by the Gods?)

So it looks to me as if Jacob and MIB are opponents in what can only be described as a cosmic game of Backgammon, and MIB has told Jacob that he is going to win, (maybe this has to do with a past power struggle between the two, or even a past game), it basically boils down to MIB is Smack talkin' and telling Jacob to give up because it "Always ends the same!"

Jacob pretty much says Hell no "It only ends once everything until then is progress." But what does that mean?

Ok I think that Jacob has found a way to Cheat! He has correctly figured out that if you put the game into a constant loop and keep bringing in new pieces that nobody will win unless one of the players is either killed or quits. So throughout the years Jacob has done several things to stack his deck so to speak, He has continually added pieces to the board, he has made some pieces unable to expire and therefore continue moving around the board.

So in answer to this the MIB has had to do a little counter cheating himself, he has placed a restriction on the pieces ability to reproduce, therefore trying to set the stage for extinction, he also has outright killed or had some killed, he has also had to take certain pieces and mold them into his very own "Special" pieces, to thwart Jacob's "Special" pieces.

As I mentioned earlier in this theory, that Jacob found a way to put the game in a constant loop, therefore never letting it end, that has forced MIB to find a "LOOP"Hole, to end this game once and for all. In walks John Locke, his new "Special" piece one that has successfully, gained trust from Richard Jacob's most "Special" piece, and therefore has infiltrated Jacob's side creating the loophole, needed to end this game, but in true LOST fashion, that actually creates more questions than it answers, since it seems that Jacob planned on letting this happen, or maybe he got wind of this and figured out another counter measure to seal his win even in death.(Maybe all of his pieces are on a course to sure death now, or are on a course to leave the island, effectively clearing the light side of the game-board first).

Now this is by no means a new idea, the backgammon thing that is, but it is my way of trying to explain it from that point of view. Some questions this brings up are: What is the prize for winning this game? Can the prize be collected even in death? Or is death a way out of loosing this game? Or if one player dies must his place be taken by another player?

What are your thoughts on this?
